How Big Are You???

Ethan is captivated by his Baby Signing Time videos that my mom got for him. Those of you that know Ethan know that he is a busy little man and does not sit still for very long. That is unless Baby Signing Time is on, then he is glued to the TV. I promise I don't abuse this power, I only use it when I need a shower. After 6 months of memorizing these tapes, the only sign Ethan does is "big" which is both arms above your head. I love that his arms barely reach over his head!

Rainy Days

Yesterday was warm and sunny and Ethan and I spent most of the day outside. Today was rainy. Ethan loves to play outside so I dressed him up in his adorable rain coat and boots that my dad bought for him. I love it! Thanks Dad!

These pictures were taken by Melanie months ago that I used for the grandparent's calendars as Christmas gifts. Here was "April Showers".

Today Was Wonderful

I rarely write long posts, but please excuse me while I toot my own horn and go on about how great today was.

This morning started off with Ethan sleeping in until 7:30, which is always a good start. I then was able to get the house clean, bills paid and phone calls made. Not extremely exciting, but it always feels good to get them done.

I then dropped Ethan off at my mother-in-law's and went to UVU to take a 4 hour nursing entrance exam. I've applied for the fall with low expectations of getting in, so without any studying for the exam, I went in and breezed through it. (Here comes the tooting of my horn). I ranked in the 95th percentile for the program and 94th percent nationally! Whoot whoot!

Anne sent me home with yummy leftovers (ham & potatoes) so I didn't have to make dinner. Thanks Anne!

Once we got home, I played with Ethan who really cracks me up these days. He is so busy, curious and funny these days. He will empty out his basket of toys just to pick them all up and place them back in. Derek joined us and we had a fun family night reviewing some Conference talks.

Later, I went to the gym to swim. My workout was 2000 yards and it said "50 minutes for an ok swimmer". I finished in 45 minutes, so that tells my I am 5 minutes better than "ok".

I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately and that I've been complaining too much. It is great to have a nice, productive day and simply enjoy life! I needed this day!
