Ethan turned 2 today! We are in California and so we celebrated with lots of family. I have been prepping him for about two weeks now so when you ask him how old he is he says "two" in his cute, sweet little voice. We're working on holding up two fingers, but he gets distracted and wants to count all of his fingers. Here he is while we were singing, "Happy Birthday".Here he is opening his first gift. A set of balls. We should have kept this one for last since he just wanted to throw them and kick them and forget about the other gifts.
Finally, here is a picture of his cake. My sisters helped me decorate it and I think it turned out pretty cute!
When I got Ethan to sleep for his nap today, I stopped and stared at him for the longest time. It is hard to believe how big he has gotten and how much of a little boy he is with not much baby left in him at all. I see glimpses of the "terrible twos" with his tantrums and frustrated hitting, but he is so sweet and innocent while he is sleeping and really quite sweet most of the time he's awake. I love this boy so much and can't imagine my life without him. I love you, Ethan James!
