So I was planning on posting today about how much Ty has grown and developed. He started crawling a few weeks ago and is already pulling himself up to standing on everything! He had a check up yesterday and he is 22 lbs 6 oz (75%) and 29.5 inches (90%). Big boy! He is too brave!
I see him standing in his crib when I go to get him up from naps.
This morning we woke up and started going about our normal routine. I came upstairs to change into my running clothes and within a minute of leaving the boys downstairs I heard a very hurt cry come from Ty. I immediately ran down stairs and saw that he was bleeding from his mouth. Upon further inspection I noticed his front tooth was sticking straight out & up! We got him into the dentist, who suggested we pull it out. He could have tried to push it back in, but it would most likely turn gray, cause Ty pain and need to be pulled later on. I opted to pull it now. So Ty is now down one front tooth and will remain that way for 6 years or so. He was in pain, but he did so well at the dentist. They took x-rays and gave him a shot of novacain and he was fine with it all! What a trooper.
I know it's a little weird, but I brought home the tooth!
We came home from the dentist and Ty took a 2.5 hour nap. I love the little bum in the air!
If anyone can pull off a toothless grin, I think he can!
Obviously I was upstairs and I didn't see what happened to Ty. He was in the kitchen by the chair. I think he must have climbed up to standing using the chair and caught his tooth on the chair on the way down. Ethan told me he fell. I'm not sure if he was pushed or fell on his own.
I was a little quick to get after Ethan for hurting Ty. I have to remember that Ethan is only 3 and he is a tough boy who likes to play rough. I know I need to watch out for Ty more and protect him, but these boys really do love each other! They are sweet brothers!
For the most part they love to play together.
Once Ty gets a little bigger, I think they will have a blast rough housing together. I hate that things like this happen, but so is life. I sure do love these boys, no matter what they do to each other! So what does the tooth fairy bring a 9 month old?????

I felt aweful when I took Ethan to the dentist a year after he bumped his teeth and found out they needed to be pulled. They just turned brown and I thought nothing of it cause he wasn't hurting. It took me about a day to get used to his big gap in the front of his mouth but he totally pulls it off and it has become part of his personality, I have to think twice when I see an old picture of him with teeth, hahaha! As far as what the tooth fairy brings a 9 month old, how about a toy? :)
